Band/Artist Name: Gospel Jazz by HL Steins
Album Name: Come Fill Me Up Lord Vol 2
Website Address:
Music Style: Gospel Jazz, Jazz
Influences: 1970's

Henry L Eiselstein ( stage name: Gospel Jazz by HL Steins), is also known as “Bro Henry; an emerging Christian songwriter/recording artist whose music combines corporate vocal choral with Latin hand & stick drums, effects, brass horns established upon rhythmic licks of stringed instruments and keys. He utilizes a simple, tone down Jazz genre to bring about a spiritually filling, uplifting and encouraging aura of true praise and worship among the children of the most high GOD.
Fellow Christians have commented: “Bro Henry’s praise and worship music is packed with Biblical truths, very moving and very powerful! They’re wonderful and very encouraging!
Delightful! Anointed! He truly produces a pleasant praise and worship experience for all that hear. You can’t help but be caught up in praise and worship!”
Bro Henry’s daily walk with the Lord provides the most influential effect on his song writing and recording. He attributes the spiritual aspects and dimensions of his music to the Lord. It is through this relationship that bears testimony as the spirit of the Lord ministers to all who listen and participate.
Bro Henry is self taught in playing percussion and rhythm/lead/bass guitar. He is left -handed and plays the guitar upside down! #
During his enlistment in the US Air Force, Bro Henry was exposed to Latin music. He quickly became intrigued by this genre with its driving percussion, and expressive brass.
In the latest CD album release “Come Fill Me Up Lord Volume 2 and The Love Pact Volume 1 his first release, Bro Henry recorded the rhythm/lead/bass guitar, timbales, congas and effects (tambourine, maracas, guiro and the cabasa ) himself.
His prayers are that we seek the indwelling of the Spirit of the LORD and that we all gain revelation of that divine pact between God the FATHER and God the SON. And through the SPIRIT of GOD, we truly discern and understand the heavenly redemption plan for all of us.
Oh, how we are so LOVED by a wonderful and most GRACIOUS GOD.
May we together lift our hands in praise to HIM and
May we together lift our voices to worship HIM in SPIRIT and in TRUTH…

The Welcome Matt

I am not an emerging artist. I have arrived,” says songwriter Matt Langlois, aka The Welcome Matt, as he prepares to debut his 8th studio recording “POP JUNK FLUFF and HYPE.” “You just didn’t see me at the baggage carousel collecting my guitar and mini Samsonite merch case.”. You can, however, accurately label Langlois a fearless artist. Tirelessly touring, collaborating and recording, the Bay Area-via-New England troubadour was featured on leading San Francisco radio station KFOG’s popular Local Scene CD twice, teamed up with renowned modern dance choreographer Christine Cali to co-create a 3-day dance performance, and, recently signed a publishing deal with Wixen Publishing, joining an impressive artist which includes Tom Petty and Weezer. Along the way, he co-wrote a top-40 European hit “San Francisco,” by Cascada, a song with which the German Dance pop group also took to #15 on the German charts. In 2013, Langlois recorded and released a video for his cover of David Bowie’s ‘DJ’, collaborated with Cali on another three-day production, ‘L.O.A.D.E.D.’.
And that’s just the highlights reel of the many accomplishments the prolific songwriter has notched since he began leading bands as a teenager. Langlois describes his writing process as “Like all mechanisms of survival and coping with existence... eating, sleeping, staying healthy, not staying healthy and dreaming... it’s in constant motion.”.

To Langlois’s mind, his work has just begun. He doesn’t take breaks, he creates, an ethic epitomized by his 2009-2011 project ‘Members of Sound’ which found him releasing a song a month for two years, culminating in two major CD releases. In total, he’s released seven Welcome Matt CDs, all the while touring, co-writing and recording with a whose-who of musical notables.

Members of Sound’ found him working with an array of musicians and producers who’ve worked with artists such as Four Non- Blonds, Train, The Counting Crows and Galactic including Jerry Becker, Matt Boudreau and Damian Rasmussen. Along the way, Langlois launched several highly original videos and released his first compilation CD “The Panhandle Years” (2012) featuring Welcome Matt songs from the last decade.

Thus, amid an incredibly year, Langlois managed to self produce “POP JUNK FLUFF and HYPE,” recorded at Lost Monkey Studios in Hayward, CA, for release in early 2014. The 10—song collections finds Langlois curious and ruminative about the world he lives in, lamenting the omnipresence of technology, life as a Gen Xer (“The Welcome Back”) and deciding it’s all worth it in “Cast a Line.”

All the while Langlois manages to straddle the divide of folk troubadour and indie pop-rock savant to create music that can only be his own: “...he drifts somewhere between Wilco’s Jeff Tweedy and Bob Dylan, mastering a sense of expert lyrical spacing and rasping dreamy opinion,” wrote an editor at of Langlois’s ability to evoke some of the leading writers of the modern era, as well as seminal bands such as The Beatles and The Kinks.

Band/Artist Name: Denise Mangiardi

Band/Artist Name: Denise MangiardiAlbum Name: Camden Town
Website Address:
Music Style: Jazz Latin Folk
Influences: Steve Wonder

As a child growing up in New York, it was the big-screen movies about concert pianists and composers that beckoned her to journey into the realm of music. Her musical family also greatly influenced her - especially her father - who custom built a listening room with a Marantz sound system. "My father's obsession with a perfect stereo sound ensured that we had a steady stream of big band and classical music," she elaborates.

By the age of ten, Denise had learned piano which became her favorite instrument - guitar soon followed. By the time she was fourteen she was performing as a folk singer at venues such as The Carnegie Tavern, the esteemed My Father's Place on Long Island – a favorite venue for the likes of Springsteen, Billy Joel and Bob Marley. She followed with performances at The Bitter End in New York City.

From Berklee to Trinity

While attending the Berklee College of Music, Denise transitioned from folk-based music into a more jazz-oriented style. She explains, "My brother who played jazz and classical flute was a bit of a catalyst for my change, but at Berklee I began to mix jazz with rock and folk." After graduating from Berklee, Denise began to study composition. Initially, she returned to her alma mater, then eventually completing her masters and post-graduate work at Trinity College of Music in London.

Around the World in Eighty Beats per Minute

Denise’s unique mix of muse originate from her vast travels around the world - especially over the last decade. “I’ve lived and worked in Australia, Paris, London, New Orleans and Denver,” explains Mangiardi. It would be in New Orleans where she established herself as a “must-see” performer within the local music scene. While living in Australia, Denise appeared on the popular Bert Newton’s Good Morning Australia show.

The travel also gave her the opportunity to perform with the likes of Dennis Irwin, Tim Horner, Mark Soskin, Jay Anderson and Ellis Larkins. By 2006, she would settle in London’s picturesque Borough of Camden, where she opened her own studio called Alice’s Loft Music. The studio gave her the chance to write, produce and record for many other musicians and songwriters. ” From all four corners of the world, Denise was honing her set of musical talents into a musical menagerie of muse.

Band/Artist Name: SPLATT

Band/Artist Name: SPLATT
Album Name: Girls About Songs
Web Site:
Music Style: Indie Pop
Influences: The Beatles

Splatt began in San Francisco 1995 when Patrick Kelly and Matthew langlois were sharing an apartment for the third time since moving to the great state of California in the strange decade once described as "the 80's". Their first album "what shall we name the baby" was recorded for Brown Rug Records in 1995 and was quickly followed by their sophomore effort entitled "10%". There were some line-up changes and time took it's toll, but Splatt soldiered on, recording their first album that wasn't just handed out to friends in leu of birthday and Christmas presents. That Album is called "Happy Hour", and you can buy it online at most digital retail sites like itunes, amazon blah blah blah. Fast forward to 2013 and Splatt has once again felt the need to share their idea of what sounds might be considered music and we present the album "GIRLS ABOUT SONGS". An album dedicated to the ladies...Yes, it's a concept album about some pretty special women in the lives of the Splatt boys. And by now the current members of the band Joe "Jupiter" Heavey, Patrick "Actual" Kelly, Matthew "The Hat" Langlois and Flemming "Flemstar" Overgaard had hit their stride, blending musical styles and genres to create a poppy, polished pearl of an album for you...the eager listener!

Band/Artist Name: Lawrence Cresswell

Band/Artist Name: Lawrence Cresswell
Album Name: Great Horizons
Website Address:
Music Style: New Age
Influences: Chet Atkins

Lawrence Cresswell, a Canadian guitarist and composer, has played on the acoustic and classical guitar for over 30 years. He considers himself basically self-taught, despite formal training in theory and performance with the Royal Conservatory of Music and with several private tutors. His personal style of guitar playing draws upon various performance techniques such as rhythm methods and accompaniment styles, although he has come to favour finger-style and methods common to early and contemporary music.

It is from both the acoustic and classical guitar that Lawrence obtains sincere satisfaction, for he feels they allow him to more fully explore the expressive potential of the instruments, both as a performer and as a composer. While the majority of his own compositions have been written for solo guitar, he has developed arrangements for guitar and flute, 2nd guitar, keyboard accompaniments and various sizes of vocal ensembles and choirs.

Introducing:- Lemon

Band/Artist Name: LEMON
Album Name: Year on Mars
Website Address:
Music Style: Soul Pop R&B
Influences: George Michael

Combining the soulful ache of Simply Red’s Mick Hucknall with the sultry falsetto of Smokey Robinson, Lemon resurrects the plaintive longing and raw sexuality of vintage R&B with the synthesized rhythms of ‘80s modern rock.

A duo consisting of vocalist Roger Smith and multi-instrumentalist Thor Madsen, the New York-based Lemon generates body heat from their funky, sweltering grooves. The propulsive “Ain’t Coming Back” recalls Peter Gabriel in his mid-‘80s prime as Smith’s deeply emotional and urgent vocals fuel Madsen’s grinding keyboards while “One Night Stand” is reminiscent of Prince’s midnight eroticism.

Eschewing the discordant noise and basement production of ‘90s alternative rock, Lemon champion melody and clear, straightforward songwriting, utilizing modern technology to create evocative atmospherics with old-school pop hooks. If Motown had begun releasing albums in the 21st century, then Lemon would’ve been among their prime artists.

LEMON are back with their new single, "In the Night", from their upcoming 12 song CD release "Year on Mars", a labor of love over two years in the making. To get things off on the right foot, they've partnered with Electric Allstars (the DJ/Producer behind Groovecutters and the UK hit "We Close Our Eyes") to craft a dance floor stunner. Add to the mix some gorgeous vocals from Camille Jones, who's riding high from her own international hit track "The Creeps" with Fedde le Grande, and you've got the start of a very momentous year to come.

Introducing:- Band/Artist Name: Moses Talbot

Band/Artist Name:   Moses Talbot
Website Address:
Music Style:   Progressive Rock
Influences:   King Crimson

Album Name: Alien Vegetable Stories

In the 90's, Moses and a friend started writing silly songs and played in some coffee shops in their area. They got accidentally named the Abdominal Snowmen. That name stuck and the project grew into a full-fledged band before they melted, having recorded two albums. Fast forward several years and many leaps ahead in home studio technology, and Moses has decided to make a solo album. He played all the instruments and revamped some of the Snowmen's most popular tunes. He also wrote some new ones. He drew from his many years as Music Director at ProgPositivity Radio and the result is something of an anomaly - progressive rock that's fun to listen to. Maybe if King Crimson and They Might Be Giants got together for some an album, this is what it would sound like. Then again, maybe not............

Introducing: - Band/Artist Name: hooyoosay

Band/Artist Name: hooyoosay
Album Name: Come on (EP)
Website Address:
Music Style: pop - rock - blues

hooyoosay – Not your average rock 'n' roll band
An occasional recording jam eventually leading to online releases and band members preferring to keep their anonymity, that's the short story of hooyoosay.

Indeed, hooyoosay is not your average rock 'n' roll band: no faces, no names, no credits, no touring… just a handful of great songs on iTunes and Amazon.
Or call it music with no ego.

The founding artists, all of them busy with other musical projects, once got together by way of a casual jam, celebrating their common fondness for rhythm and blues, rock 'n' roll, retro pop and the cultures of the past decades. There was no advance plan at all, but however the outcome of the session was an online distribution and the shaping of an accidental concept into a formula-based project. Since then many more have contributed, all firmly respecting the initial anonymity principle.

The title song is a remake of Chuck Berry's "Come on", and gives another twist to sixties rock 'n' roll and yesteryear's pop melodies. It is modern retro, creating a sonic pastiche that connects the band's trademark British Invasion sound with elements as diverse as new wave, post-punk, garage and even Japanese techno. It has thumping bass and staccato drumming, phoney keyboards and snotty vocals, and of course that indispensable "let's rock 'n' roll" fuzzy electric guitar solo.

The EP can be seen as a digital 45, B-sided by "The under assistant West Coast promotion man", a parody of the figure of the emphatic but thwarted music promoter.

Once on the B-side of The Rolling Stones' smash hit "Satisfaction", this song is all about British Invasion blues bands coming to tour America during the sixties, where they often found themselves escorted by some Mr know-it-all type of local tour promoter. As these young bands had only just discovered American music, they inevitably brought their own interpretations of those blues and country standards, instead of rendering them in the established American ways.

Band/Artist Name: Cochon Bleu

Band/Artist Name: Cochon Bleu
Album Name: Not Blue
Website Address:
Music Style: Americana / Cajun
Influences: Cajun / Americana / folk / pop

Fifteen years of honing their craft, playing hundreds of gigs and releasing five well-received albums have made Cochon Bleu into what they are today - one of Hollands most sparkling bands.  Accordion, guitars, mandolin - in fact, anything with strings on it, plus vigorous singing are their weapons of choice, backed by a steadily pulsating rhythm section. Pure cajun music was their point of origin, but they have absorbed many influences along the way and gradually developed a style of their own.  Two things remain, though: French lyrics and ceaseless energy.

Introducing:- Oh, Jeremiah

Band/Artist Name: Oh, Jeremiah
Album Name: Tall Tales and Tiny Fables
Website Address:
Music Style: Singer/songwriter
Influences: Josh Ritter

Oh, Jeremiah is the musical cocktail of the musings and tall tales of singer/songwriter Jeremiah Stricklin. Each of his songs is filled with the distinct characteristics of the Deep Southern culture that he’s called home for so long. The familiar people and places that he has always known are now the invisible forces that populate his songs simultaneously uplifting and haunting his person musically. His pace, his love of face-to-face conversation, and his enjoyment of wasting an afternoon sitting on a front porch have all given him and his music a flavor worth savoring. In short, he can be considered the 21st Century Tom Sawyer; the friend you would be willing to paint a fence for or take a leap of faith with if you had to run away from the real world.

The cornerstone of Oh, Jeremiah’s music is the narrative stylistics found in his lyrics. What may seem like a simple acoustic tune may actually be the epic journey of a pirate lost at sea. You may be tapping your foot to the story of two animals escaping a zoo and not even know it. The foundation of Stricklin’s music is found in the storytelling. It’s obvious that he draws musical influences from artists such as Josh Ritter, Shovels and Rope, and Ryan Adams.

Stricklin’s music can best be described as Americana with elements of whimsy and gentle seriousness. He is drawn toward artists who demonstrate vulnerability and a genuine connection with their audience, both lyrically and in performance. He pursues exploring the richness of various instrumentation in his songs and his shows. Although this is Stricklin’s debut solo project, it has been his experiences with multiple bands over the last five years that has inspired and brought him to this place.

And whether you listen to Oh, Jeremiah on car speakers or see him in a crowded venue, you will leave the moment as if you just had a great conversation with a good friend. As one listener once said after a show, “I feel like I have known you my entire life." And that is what Oh, Jeremiah shoots for with this project. As with any relationship, there is the thing that attracts you and then the thing that keeps you. For Stricklin, his stage presence and energetic performance is what may draw you to sit down and listen. His stories are what will keep you around.

Introducing:- The Alonzo Spirit Band

Band/Artist Name: The Alonzo Spirit Band
Album Name: The Alonzo Spirit Band
Website Address:
Music Style: Pop/Inspirational/Island

THE ALONZO SPIRIT BAND is comprised of (in our admittedly biased opinion) amazing musicians and singers on the Big Island, all with their own individual and thriving recording and performing careers.

Alan Rosen, a television writer/producer/director back in the 20th Century (anybody remember the 20th Century?) brought these folks together in the studio to record the songs that began to come to him initially through meditation and dreams.
As these songs were a “spiritual gift”, the peaceful, positive, and spiritual vibration of the singers and musicians, and of the island itself, is an important part of the vibration in the music.

Band/Artist Name: Da Phatfunk Clique

Band/Artist Name: Da Phatfunk Clique
Album Name: Phat Jazz
Website Address:
Music Style: Jazz/Funk
Influences: Jean Luc Ponty

Several New York area venues have experienced the funk/jazz sounds of Da Phatfunk Clique. In September of 1998, violinist Darrell Looney began collaborating with several musicians on what would be the first release in 1999, Pandemic Love.  The sound is unique as the violin is the lead instrument.  Da Phatfunk Clique was formed as a band by January of 2000, utilizing local talent in support of the album release. Out of this effort came development of a unique sound, both jazzy and funky, that has been described as an amalgamation of jazz from Mahavishnu Orchestra and funk ambiance of George Clinton's P-Funk. True to form, these are among the group's influences as are artists such as Jean Luc Ponty, Herbie Hancock, George Duke and Noel Pointer.  The band has become redirected as a musical concept, developing the live vibe as various musicians add their creative influence to the music writing process.

Shawn Kingsberry’s love of music surfaced early and has been a guiding rhythm of his life. Shawn began playing in local R&B bands as a teenager in the 1980s. During that time, he served a stint in the production unit of TJ Thompson, the platinum writer and producer for Immature. With his brother, Michael, Shawn joined the R&B outfit, CHEKK Band and Show, which performed throughout the Washington metropolitan area. Through his production company, Shawn worked with music industry professionals, such as Harvey Alston, who managed Keith Sweat, Teddy Riley, Wreck & Effect, and Tony Dumas, the vocalist with the platinum male group, Me-2-You. Band/Artist Name: Chapa

Band/Artist Name: Chapa
Album Name: A Look To The West
Website Address:
Music Style: Orchestral Folk
Influences: Akron Family

Chapa, an LA-based musical artist, represents the fusion of intelligent and individualistic talents into a collective that explores the less-worn paths of music, discovering new sounds and aural ideas for the public's consumption. Chapa's music has been called a "beautifully blended mixture of classical instrumentation, modern grooves, and timeless stories" most succinctly summed up as "orchestral folk." "Music is something that makes you feel jovial, warm, sad, hopeful, vibrant, understood and loved all at once," Chapa says, describing his passion for creating evocative, fresh sounds that defy convention. In regard to the group's experimentation, he offers this thought: "Play the music that you love to play." It's a simple secret, he believes, to creating music that sets itself apart and offers something exciting for a jaded listening community. And to keep things fun, he shares this advice: "Treat life with a smile."
“The music of Chapa is its own best definition. If you are blessed with the talent of listening, this combination of half spoken poetry, orchestral themes, thematic development and masterful percussion will clear away the dust in some unoccupied corridor you have probably neglected. That half sung dying fall in the voice, and woodwind song, the bliss of gliss, and the smile of a cello will take you to the garden where poetry grows.”
- Billy Sheppard, Billy’s Bunker

"If "original" is what you seek, look no further than Chapa, who effortlessly blends high art with folk-inspired spiritual music. This is pure poetry. The classical instrumentation coupled with bold experimentation make Chapa and his band of merrymen cutting-edge artists. This music challenges the mind and the senses."
- Howard Lawrence, Reverbnation Artist
